Colorado Elite Making Champions
Colorado Elite has entered its 20th YEAR as a Colorado Premiere Girls Basketball Program. Elite has been run and coached by the same Coach, Keirsten Walters since the inception of its program. One of the ONLY programs in the state to run a program by herself, with multiple successful teams at multiple ages and divisions. Elite is a boutique style program where Keirsten coaches each of the teams. It is also where players become family. Some players begin as 3rd graders and continue through their senior year. Many players return as college or pro players to support the younger players or to ask advice from their, now friend Coach Keirsten.
One player from 18 years ago recently sent an email that read; “ I know I have been awful and out of touch but my family and I were having a conversation at dinner about how intense our practices were. I don’t think I would be where I am today without you toughening me up and teaching me how to be a good leader.” This player played in college and is now a physician.
Another parent recently emailed; “ Congratulations on your continued success at providing a quality and positive basketball experience for so many young girls throughout the last 20 years. Whether it be a role model as an outstanding high school and collegiate player or providing life skills and philosophy to impressionable young women while teaching them the game of basketball, that is very impressive and all done with a sense of community, kindness, LOVE, compassion, equality and inclusion my dear friends!
Thank you so very much for being part of Karley’s life and helping to shape her into the amazing young lady that she is today, it is very much appreciated, she is very blessed to have had you in her life!
